Contraband Ivory Detector Dog

Remote air sampling is a proven means of detecting the presence of contraband ivory. The system was promulgated by Karenswood (International) Ltd as long ago as the 1970’s. In those far off days it was suggested that shipping containers and the like should be designed to have a ventilation socket to which a suction tube would be affixed.

Air from inside the container could then be drawn out to pass through retrievable filters which are presented for  examination by the trained dog. This method of sampling air from shipping containers is not restricted to the detection of ivory, indeed not. Remote explosives scent tracing (REST) is just one other feature of dog work where this system may be utilised.

Government Wildlife departments are invited to contact Karenswood (International) Ltd.
